Our MissionSheboygan Kennel Club (SKC), founded in 1953, is dedicated to the support, promotion and betterment of purebred dogs. To this end, SKC conducts the Sheboygan Kennel Club Dog Show, one of Sheboygan's largest sporting events.
ABOUT SKC Our clubhouse is situated on 10 acres on the west side County Highway LS, between Playbird Road and Garton Road, which include a fenced-in exercise area, small pond, and grassy paths - all available for members to work and play with their dogs. There we hold our meetings on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 7:30 p.m. The meeting often include an educational program or breed presentation, followed by refreshment and time to socialize with other members. These meetings and programs are open to the public. We encourage you to visit.Formal conformation (dog show) training classes are held on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:30 p.m. and are free to members. The public is also welcome - a nominal fee is charged. All dogs attending classes are required to have proof of current vaccinations.
Informal training classes for members only (no assigned trainer) are held on the 1st and 5th Wednesday and provide a casual atmosphere for socializing puppies and devoting extra time to that special show prospect. The Sheboygan Kennel Club actively supports many worthy causes that benefit our canine friends. Every year, a portion of the proceeds realized from the Annual Dog Show are donated to such organizations as The Sheboygan Humane Society, P.A.W.S., the AKC Canine Health Foundation, Search & Rescue, American Dog Owners Association, and the Sheboygan County 4H Dog Project We also provide a selection of books and periodicals to various public libraries throughout the county.
